After a light morning meal, we hit the road, stopping at scenic viewpoints before reaching A Boong Waterfalls. A great chance to swim or simply relax in nature. Lunch is a big family-style feast in Thai An, with sweeping views over rice fields.

By afternoon, we reach Du Gia, our village stay for the night. Bags down, we head straight to Du Gia Waterfall: swimming and cliff jumping optional, smiles guaranteed. Dinner is a warm Vietnamese home-cooked meal, with β€œhappy water” available for those curious to try.

Rafting & Skywalks

Rafting & Skywalks Distance: ~130 km Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

After breakfast in Du Gia, we set off to the Ngoc Long River for bamboo rafting and cave exploring, if conditions are met. It’s a peaceful yet adventurous start before lunch in Sung Trai, served with a mountain backdrop.

In the afternoon, the ride winds into epic scenery: Ma Pi Leng Pass and Tu San Canyon, two of Ha Giang’s most legendary spots. From there, a one-hour hike through cornfields brings us to the Skywalk, a breathtaking 360Β° viewpoint. We finish the day in Dong Van, where hot showers, dinner, and rest await.

Borderlands & Traditions

Borderlands & Traditions Distance: ~140 km Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

The day begins with breakfast before riding through Dong Van Geopark, known for some of the loop’s most dramatic landscapes. We pause for lunch in Yen Minh, then climb the winding curves of Tham Ma Pass: the famous β€œSnake Road.”

The journey continues north to the Lung Cu Flag Point, Vietnam’s northernmost tip at the Chinese border. On the way back, we stop at a Tuong fabric workshop to see traditional weaving before reaching Nam Dam Village. Here, a family-style dinner, happy water, and an overnight stay in the peaceful countryside bring the day to a close.

Caves & Farewell Views

Caves & Farewell Views Distance: ~120 km Breakfast + Lunch

Our last morning begins with breakfast, followed by a hike through cornfields to Lung Khuy (Dragon) Caves. A stunning underground world rich in legends. Afterward, we ride to Tam Son Town for a final Vietnamese lunch.

Before the journey ends, we visit the Twin Mountains, where one last viewpoint offers a perfect farewell to the Ha Giang Loop.

By late afternoon (around 5pm), we’re back in Ha Giang, with time to rest, shower, and catch your onward bus in the evening.
